This hourly role involves installing, monitoring, and operating advanced industrial treatment equipment at customer sites, specifically within food processing or paper mill environments. The primary area for this role will be Virginia, with occasional travel required to surrounding territories and multiple locations. The successful candidate will serve as the primary on-site liaison for Clean Chemistry, interacting professionally with plant management and communicating all necessary information to ensure operational success.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a proven record of responsibility and integrity in prior roles.
  • Strong English communication skills and basic math proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license with a passing MVR and eligibility to drive company vehicles under Clean Chemistry's insurance policies.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and maintain active phone service to utilize our timekeeping application.
  • Willingness to work extended shifts (day or night), after-hours, weekends, and holidays across all seasons as a lone worker.
  • Comfort handling hazardous chemicals and a strict willingness to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks, drug screenings, and participation in random drug screening programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Background working in food processing or pulp and paper mill operations.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing, pipe fitting, pumps, valves, and analytical lab techniques.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation equipment and remote software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial rig-up, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and rig-down of equipment during field trials.
  • Operate industrial equipment, respond to automated system alerts, and titrate chemicals at designated application points.
  • Manage chemical feedstock supplies and serve as the on-call contact for emergency situations.
  • Accurately gather and log trial data while working with minimal daily supervision once fully trained.
  • Strictly adhere to all internal and customer-specific safety protocols, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisors, co-workers, and customers regarding dispatched service orders.
