FIELD OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN - Multi-Basin Travel
About The Position
As iNet continues to expand across the Permian Basin, we’re hiring Field Operations Technicians to support the deployment and maintenance of advanced connectivity solutions. This field-based role will require travel to other markets/basins outside of Midland based on business needs. The position offers paid training, a structured 90-day Short Service Employee (SSE) onboarding period, and a clear path to full Technician status with potential compensation growth. Relocation support or housing assistance is available for qualified candidates outside the local area. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- 3+ years in telecom, wireless, IT networking, or related technical fields
- Hands-on experience with LTE, satellite systems, and point-to-point radios
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti, UniFi, Meraki, Starlink, OneWeb, and WeBoost technologies
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand/power tools
- Ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision
- Clear communication skills and professional field presence
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Criminal and employment background check
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and participate in shift/on-call rotations
- Ability to work outdoors in oil & gas environments and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Reliable attendance and safe driving to/from job sites (company vehicle provided)

Responsibilities
- Install, align, and commission RF and satellite systems including Starlink, LTE, VSAT, and point-to-point/multipoint wireless networks.
- Run, dress, and terminate various cable types (CAT5/6, RG6, LMR-600/400, Romex); mount antennas and configure field equipment.
- Diagnose and repair connectivity issues across remote sites; ensure uptime and performance.
- Use mobile tools/apps to log service notes, capture site photos, and complete job records.
- Travel independently or in small teams to regional sites; uphold safety and compliance standards.
