About The Position

Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) is seeking multiple Field Operations Supervisors to provide leadership and operational oversight for parking operations across Arizona State University. These positions oversee daily operations while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational consistency, employee accountability, and effective coordination across multiple campuses and shifts. Field Operations Supervisors may be assigned to specialize in one of several operational areas, including but not limited to: Parking Dispatch, Parking Enforcement, Parking Field Services, Customer Service Operations, Parking Events. Although supervisors may have primary responsibility for a designated operational area, all Field Operations Supervisors are expected to become proficient in all areas of Parking Operations and provide cross-functional leadership as operational needs require. These positions supervise full-time, part-time, temporary, student employees, and contracted personnel during daily operations and special events. Supervisors develop staff schedules, monitor performance, coordinate operational communications, and ensure consistent implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and customer service standards. These positions are located at multiple ASU Campuses, and responsibilities may include supporting operations in multiple locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU and UBS will not provide sponsorship for employment.
  • Employee must possess a valid US Driver's license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.

  • Demonstrated customer service experience.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and preparing operational reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to grammar and detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily parking operations within assigned functional area while maintaining awareness of overall Parking Operations activities.
  • Supervises Parking Enforcement Officers, Dispatch personnel, Field Service Specialists, Customer Service staff, student employees, and contracted personnel as assigned.
  • Coordinates staffing levels to meet operational demands, special events, athletic events, commencement ceremonies, and emergency situations.
  • Ensures operational continuity and effective communication between multiple shifts and campuses.
  • Provides leadership during parking operations and large-scale special events.
  • Responds to and resolves customer concerns received in person, by telephone, email, social media, and other electronic communication platforms.
  • Performs employee coaching, scheduling, performance management, and documentation.
  • Assists with recruitment activities including reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, onboarding new employees, and facilitating employee training.
  • Conducts daily briefings, shift transitions, and operational updates.
  • Develops, updates, and maintains desk manuals, standard operating procedures, operational guides, and training materials.
  • Ensures consistent application of Parking and Transit Services policies, university policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Monitors parking equipment, performs basic troubleshooting, coordinates repairs, and reports equipment issues.
  • Assists with signage inventory, production, installation, and maintenance.
  • Coordinates parking lot closures, event setups, traffic control plans, and operational logistics.
  • Monitors and updates parking information displayed on department websites, digital signage, and other customer communication platforms.
  • Prepares invoices, orders supplies, and maintains operational inventories.
  • Processes and reconciles departmental revenues in accordance with university cash handling and electronic payment policies.
  • Prepares operational reports, performance metrics, after-action reports, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Utilizes parking management systems, dispatch software, handheld devices, radios, and other technology to support daily operations.
  • Collaborates with university departments, public safety personnel, event organizers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Participates in leadership meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities while ensuring assigned staff receive appropriate training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
