About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Field Operations Supervisor at the Cox Creek Dredge Containment Facility on Kembo Road near Curtis Bay, MD within the Environmental Dredging and Restoration Group. MES operates this site on behalf of the Maryland Port Administration.

Requirements

• Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus one year of supervisory experience in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction activities and 6 years prior experience operating heavy equipment, OR 6 years of progressively responsible experience applicable to the hiring facility. This experience must include a lead role in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction activities.
• Valid driver’s license with less than 5 points
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the operation of dozers, excavators, and dump trucks
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction plans
• Familiarity with wastewater treatment practices
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite applications
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License
