About The Position

Lucas Industrial in Murfreesboro, TN is hiring a full-time Field Operations Manager who's ready to lead teams, drive progress, and take ownership of projects across the country. This is a high-impact role where leadership truly matters. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with shifts varying within normal business hours. The role includes on-call responsibilities, overtime opportunities, and extensive nationwide travel (potentially up to 10 months per year), while primarily reporting to the Murfreesboro office. As our Field Operations Manager, you start your day by reviewing project updates, then coordinate multiple field teams across the structural steel and roofing divisions. You connect with general contractors, respond to RFIs, and ensure that every phase of the work is progressing as planned. As challenges arise in the field, you step in with solutions, keeping timelines intact and operations moving forward. Throughout the day, you track progress milestones, oversee completion targets, and ensure payment processes stay on track. You also uphold safety standards and make sure equipment is available, insured, and ready for use. In this role, you are the driving force that keeps projects aligned, efficient, and successful from start to finish.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience
  • Strong understanding of construction plans
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 10 months per year)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe products, and PDF tools
  • Ability to review project details, RFIs, and contracts
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
