About The Position

Protos Security is looking for a dynamic, skilled professional with a strong background in the security industry to join our team as a Field Operations Manager (FOM) supporting the Mid South Region (MS, MO, TN, AR). The Field Operations Manager serves as Protos Security’s boots-on-the-ground operational resource within an assigned geographic region. The FOM is responsible for understanding and improving field-level operations, maintaining strong relationships with clients and security providers, identifying operational opportunities and concerns, and coordinating the resources necessary to support successful security programs. The FOM conducts strategic scheduled and unannounced field engagements based on operational priorities, client needs, provider performance, program requirements, risk indicators, and other identified areas of concern. The position serves as an important connection between field operations and Protos’ broader Service, Vendor Relationship Management, Enterprise Accounts, Sales, and other operational teams. The Field Operations Manager will reside in the greater Memphis area and report to the Director of Field Operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of law enforcement or military experience required.
Proven ability to manage large-scale or high-profile client relationships.
Strong understanding of security operations, vendor management, and service delivery models.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
Process-driven, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations and priorities.
Regular field presence is required, including flexibility to support operational needs as they arise - travel is required frequently between security locations.

Responsibilities

Own operational oversight and field engagement for an assigned geographic region, ensuring Protos has a current understanding of conditions, performance, and opportunities at supported locations.
Plan and conduct scheduled and unannounced site visits based on operational priorities, client requirements, provider performance, risk indicators, new program activity, and other identified needs.
Evaluate security operations in the field, including guard performance, supervision, post orders, site conditions, access control, guard tours, shift operations, and adherence to established requirements.
Build and maintain professional working relationships with clients, security providers, onsite supervisors, and other key stakeholders through regular field engagement and communication.
Identify actual or potential operational issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions with vendors, clients, Service, Vendor Relationship Management, Enterprise Accounts, Sales, and other Protos teams as appropriate.
Support provider performance management by identifying trends, documenting field findings, providing operational feedback and coaching, and escalating recurring or significant concerns through established Protos processes.
Support security planning, assessments, surveys, new program implementations, RFPs, and other operational initiatives as directed.
Assist with the development, review, validation, and implementation of post orders and site-specific operating requirements, ensuring field conditions and expectations are accurately reflected in the appropriate Protos systems.
Support the implementation and ongoing use of Protos operational programs and technology, including Guard Tours, Protos Connect, DAR, site visit reporting, and other applicable platforms.
Accurately document site visits, findings, client and provider interactions, corrective actions, and other operational activity within Salesforce, GFX, and other designated systems.
Monitor assigned operations and identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement using available operational data, KPIs, site observations, and field intelligence.
Provide timely and actionable field intelligence to Field Operations leadership and relevant Protos stakeholders to support a common operational picture across the organization.
Ensure assigned operations meet or exceed established Key Performance Indicators and operational expectations.
Coordinate with other Protos departments and teams to resolve client, provider, and operational issues efficiently and ensure appropriate follow-through.
Represent Protos Security professionally in the field and maintain a positive, service-oriented relationship with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders.
Maintain/Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, and Protos policies and procedures.
Travel throughout the assigned region as necessary to conduct site visits, support operations, meet with clients and providers, and accomplish assigned business objectives.
Perform additional functions and duties as necessary to support Field Operations and achieve assigned business objectives.
