About The Position

The Field Operations Section (FOS) of the ICAO’s Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI) is responsible for the development, execution, monitoring, reporting and closure of the projects contained in the Capacity Development and Implementation Programme (CDIP). It provides advice and assistance with regard to the Safety, Air Navigation Capacity and Efficiency, Security and Facilitation, Economic Development of Air Transport, and Environmental Protection of civil aviation, in accordance with ICAO’s related Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Strategic Goals. FOS executes the CDIP under the One-Single Process approach intended to create a seamless end-to-end management of projects by enhancing its service orientation and providing greater value to Member States and stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with internal regulations and ISO 9001 procedures.

Requirements

Completed or be enrolled in a degree programme in a field of study related to civil aviation, management, economics, international relations, engineering or computer science.
Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English.

Nice To Haves

A working knowledge of any other language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish).

Responsibilities

Populate and help maintain FOS document repositories, reporting tools and project management tools to facilitate the work of FOS.
Assist in the preparation of FOS’ financial forecast table.
Assist in the preparation of FOS reporting requirements.
Assist in the preparation of correspondence and other documents in relation to the development of new projects and/or the implementation of on-going projects.
Assist in the preparation of the CDI booth at different conferences, including keeping inventory up to date and managing resources throughout the events.
Assist with the organization of the CDI Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS), as necessary.
Assist in the preparation of marketing or promotional material.
Perform other related duties as required.
