Field Operations Coordinator — Charleston, SC

Coastal Security Services, Inc.Charleston, SC
$50,000 - $60,000Onsite

About The Position

We are looking for a seasoned security professional to serve as a Field Operations Coordinator in Charleston, SC. This is a supervisory, mobile command position — not a single-post assignment. You will be the highest-ranking operational authority in the field during your shift, responsible for ensuring every post is staffed, every officer is performing to standard, and every client receives the level of service CSSI is known for. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on leadership, moves with purpose, and takes ownership of outcomes. You will oversee multiple client sites, conducting inspections, managing coverage, mentoring officers, and serving as the direct link between field operations and company leadership.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a SC SLED Armed Security Officer Registration
  • Clean criminal background and driving record
  • Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided)
  • Minimum 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience with supervisory or team lead responsibility
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with technology — mobile apps, scheduling software, and reporting systems
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with security management and fleet tracking platforms
  • Healthcare facility or residential community security experience
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification (current or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with incident command, report writing, or dispatch operations
  • Prior experience training or mentoring security officers

Responsibilities

  • Oversee CSSI sites as the on-shift field supervisor
  • Conduct site inspections (announced and unannounced) to verify officer compliance with post orders, uniform standards, and professional conduct
  • Manage shift coverage — handle call-offs, coordinate replacements, and self-deploy when necessary to maintain zero coverage gaps
  • Answer dispatch calls and respond to client inquiries, officer emergencies, and maintenance issues
  • Review and approve incident reports for accuracy and professionalism before client delivery
  • Coach, mentor, and train officers in the field — including new hire onboarding
  • Monitor operations through scheduling, fleet, and camera systems
  • Document all shift activity and provide clear end-of-shift handoffs

Benefits

  • Company vehicle equipped as a mobile command post
  • Company-issued technology (laptop/iPad, phone, hotspot)
  • Supportive leadership team that invests in professional development
  • Stable, growing company with nearly 20 years in the industry
