About The Position

The Field Nurse Educator role is part of an educational program designed to support patients living with chronic diseases who have been prescribed specific medications. Nurse Educators provide education about disease treatments and resources to help patients manage their condition and understand their prescribed medication. This role involves one-on-one communication with patients through in-person visits, phone calls, video platforms, email, and SMS, strictly adhering to program guidelines. As this is an educational role, Nurse Educators do not provide medical advice or perform clinical duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • RN licensure required in state of residency – compact multi-state license as available per state
  • Current nursing license in good standing
  • Currently or able to obtain in California RN license if residing in Mountain or Pacific time zone
  • 5+ years clinical experience in healthcare (hospital, home health, pharmaceutical, or biotech)
  • Direct interaction with patients and support for persistence and compliance
  • Knowledge of clinical data and pharmacology
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ambassador must live in the designed territory as determined by the business
  • Dedicated home workspace
  • Duties may require compliance with client requirements that all those performing services on-site be fully vaccinated
  • Candidates must have authorization to work in the US without the need for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate the connection between patients and program-approved, patient-based resources.
  • Provide direct educational training to patients on specific disease states and assigned medication.
  • Support multiple disease states and medications as needed.
  • Provide patient-focused education to promote behavioral change for patient empowerment and improved treatment compliance.
  • Foster appropriate dialogue between patient and healthcare provider.
  • Schedule flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
  • Flights and overnights required.
  • Travel up to 70-80%.
