Field Network Technician (Starlink & Communications)
About The Position
EnerStar Solutions is seeking a Field Network Technician (Starlink & Communications) to install, maintain, and troubleshoot communications systems for remote worksites across Montana and surrounding regions. This hands-on field role involves working with Starlink satellite internet systems, wireless networks, LTE equipment, cameras, routers, antennas, and remote monitoring technology. The position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors, and interested in technology, networking, internet systems, and telecommunications. EnerStar Solutions is a growing team that provides innovative communication and technology solutions to challenging and remote job sites in North America, helping customers stay connected where traditional infrastructure is unavailable.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight as required
- Basic computer skills
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn technical systems.

Responsibilities
- Install and support Starlink satellite internet systems
- Deploy and troubleshoot LTE and wireless communication equipment
- Configure routers, switches, access points, and networking hardware
- Install and support remote monitoring and camera systems
- Respond to service calls and field work orders
- Set up and relocate communications equipment at customer locations
- Assist with communications tower and signal booster installations
- Perform equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Work closely with operations, logistics, and field personnel
- Complete service documentation, equipment reports, and inventory records
- Support customers by resolving technical issues and ensuring reliable connectivity in remote locations.
