About The Position

IT Link Now is a leading Managed Service Provider seeking a skilled and motivated Field Network Technician to join our dynamic technical team. We are committed to delivering exceptional solutions and maintaining cutting-edge connectivity for our clients. The Field Network Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing network infrastructure and telecommunications equipment at various client sites. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Network Administration, Information Technology, or Experience
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network installation and maintenance
  • Proficient in TCP/IP networking principles
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure components
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Ubiquiti, and other networking equipment
  • Familiarity with fiber optic and copper cabling installation techniques
  • Knowledge of wireless networking technologies
  • Understanding of network security principles
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation of network hardware, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and cabling systems
  • Perform on-site installation of servers, computers, and various peripherals
  • Wire Management, and site visits
  • Conduct comprehensive network assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues
  • Install and configure network equipment according to client specifications and industry standards
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Perform regular network performance testing and optimization
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely technical support
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop and implement network solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during field operations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients during and after installation processes
