About The Position

AmeriGas Propane, the largest distributor of propane in the United States, is searching for a detail-oriented person to join us as a Field Meter Reader. Requirements

• Basic Microsoft Office skills required
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
• Successful applicants shall be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment, and if hired, shall be subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with AmeriGas policies.
• Applicants for such positions who are actively using medical marijuana may be denied hire on that basis.

Responsibilities

• Using a company vehicle to travel to customer sites in an assigned territory and accurately record the numbers from the meter manually or via electronic handheld device and turn in the collected readings (for processing).
• Completing approximately 350 meter reads per week.
