The Field MEP Manager is responsible for leading the on-site coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) work throughout construction. This position works closely with the project management and site management teams, design professionals, trade partners, vendors, and the client to ensure building systems are installed safely, correctly, and in accordance with the contract documents, project schedule, budget, and quality expectations. The Field MEP Manager plays an integral role in planning and coordinating MEP activities from early construction through testing, commissioning, and turnover. This role provides field leadership, identifies and resolves coordination issues, monitors progress, and supports the integration of MEP systems with the building structure, envelope, and other trades. The Field MEP Manager reports to the project leadership team and works in close partnership with the Superintendent and Project Manager. A Field MEP Manager takes proactive responsibility for day-to-day MEP field operations, communicating expectations and resolving issues among subcontractors, foremen, vendors, the design team, and related personnel. The role supports effective sequencing, installation, inspection, and closeout of MEP systems while promoting Shiel Sexton’s standards for safety, quality, teamwork, and customer service. The Field MEP Manager performs other related duties as assigned.
