About The Position
Pape’ Machinery, Inc. – Agriculture & Turf Division – is seeking a Field Mechanic to join their team in Chico, CA. This role involves working on agriculture equipment at customer locations, ensuring accurate and timely repairs to maximize customer uptime. Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, preferably Agriculture equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self-motivation.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must provide own tools.
Nice To Haves
- CDL preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing and diagnosing agriculture equipment malfunctions or failures in the field.
- Repairing, replacing, or rebuilding engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components including pump motors, valves, and all related components, electrical systems, and air systems.
- Performing welding and fabrication work as required.
- Traveling to customer locations in a service vehicle to perform repairs and interact with customers.
