About The Position

Playground is seeking a Field Marketing Lead to build and own field marketing across North America at both the state and national levels. This role will establish the programs, infrastructure, and measurement frameworks that drive pipeline and revenue, partnering closely with Sales to ensure every field investment is accountable. The Field Marketing Lead will own a significant portion of demand generation pipeline and play a key role in shaping messaging and positioning by testing what resonates directly with buyers. This is a high-ownership, build-from-scratch role responsible for the full program lifecycle — from strategy and alignment to execution and attribution. The role is based in New York City and is full-time in office.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in field marketing or event marketing within B2B SaaS
  • Proven track record of building and scaling field marketing programs from the ground up
  • Demonstrated success driving pipeline and revenue through field programs
  • Deep cross-functional experience working with Sales, BDRs, ABM, and demand generation teams
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and stakeholders across regions
  • Highly self-directed and execution-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • Comfortable working with marketing and CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms

  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) and tight sales-marketing alignment
  • Experience launching or scaling field marketing in new regions

Responsibilities

  • Own a large share of demand generation pipeline, including field-sourced and field-influenced revenue targets
  • Establish measurement frameworks including lead scoring, attribution models, ROI reporting, and post-event analysis
  • Manage regional budgets with strong financial discipline and ROI focus
  • Own end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of field events including executive dinners, roundtables, workshops, conferences, and roadshows
  • Evaluate and select high-impact third-party events and design activation strategies
  • Manage sponsorships, venues, speakers, and vendor relationships
  • Build and manage the regional field marketing calendar in close alignment with Sales and leadership
  • Develop scalable, repeatable playbooks that consistently drive pipeline
  • Test and refine messaging and product positioning through direct buyer interaction and feedback loops
  • Partner closely with Sales and BDR teams on targeting, outreach, and event follow-up strategies
