About The Position

This position is responsible for collecting confidential information, managing administrative duties, transmitting data as scheduled, and assuming responsibility for project-issued equipment. The role involves listing addresses electronically on a tablet, traveling to selected areas using the tablet and electronic map, and accurately recording address and location information. The specialist will also edit completed work and report on the results of all activities. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

  • Must possess High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening
  • Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
  • Available for entire training and data collection period
  • Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile available for business use
  • Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop, and other associated equipment
  • Access to password protected WiFi connection for data transmission and administrative responsibilities
  • Able to keep project information confidential
  • Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark
  • Able to accommodate work schedule to include weekdays and weekends during daytime hours

  • Able to travel overnight, if required

Responsibilities

  • Collecting confidential information
  • Independently managing administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings
  • Transmitting data as scheduled
  • Assuming full and legal responsibility for use and care of project issued equipment
  • Safeguarding any issued equipment or project materials against damage, loss, or theft
  • Submitting timely and accurate Time and Expense reports
  • Attending virtually scheduled meetings with other members of the project team
  • Listing addresses electronically (procedure to identify the sample for data collection) on a tablet (provided by RTI), in selected areas
  • Traveling to selected areas within the area using a tablet and electronic map
  • Successfully completing all components of training, including online courses and attendance at a virtual training
  • Accurately identifying and recording address and location information on a tablet about each potential dwelling unit
  • Editing completed work, and reporting the results of all activities
