About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Field Management Superintendent to lead the team in recommending approvals or rejections of materials and workmanship as appropriate. This role will also monitor labor and safety requirements, including assisting in reviewing certified payrolls and performing labor standard interviews to determine that the labor force is being paid prescribed wage rates. The responsibilities include interpreting construction documents, codes, and technical submissions to verify conformance with contract and regulatory requirements, verifying conformance of materials and equipment with approved shop drawings/submittals, and coordinating construction activities with security and building operations departments for CPFMD projects. The position also involves assisting the quality assurance team (QAI's) with their day-to-day duties, supporting QAIs by providing management and direction in the field, overseeing specialized testing and inspections, monitoring work performance, documenting variations from established schedules, assisting in the evaluation of change order proposals, reviewing payment applications for certification, and monitoring contractor work progress and practices in line with their approved quality control plans. The role also includes reviewing and providing feedback on contractor quality control plans and implementing them with field staff and QAIs, ensuring quality standards are upheld on all projects with all trades.

Requirements

BA/BS plus four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency through a combination of education and professional experience.

Nice To Haves

Professional certification such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and project tracking systems such as Procore or Primavera P6.
OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training and knowledge of construction safety standards.
Experience managing and mentoring quality assurance inspectors (QAIs) and field teams.
Familiarity with construction contracts, change order processes, and payment application procedures.
Experience with specialized testing, inspections, and shop drawing submittals review.

Responsibilities
