This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The trainee will approach work in a positive manner, maintain conduct supportive of safe work practices, and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. A key part of the role is assisting in performing preventive maintenance, which includes changing fluids, filters, pulling SOS Samples, lubricating/cleaning components/parts, and starting equipment to test performance, all with support from a designated mentor. The trainee will also maintain a minimum set of tools to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble machine components to manufacturer’s specifications, and attend and successfully complete required tasks and technician training classes in the Field Maintenance Trainee program. Additionally, the role requires actively learning how to supply all required information, supporting documentation, and photos to appropriate leadership for repairs and additional services identified during scheduled preventive maintenance visits. The trainee will also learn to work in a neat and orderly fashion, adhering to contamination control guidelines and constantly looking for ways of improving methods of work, work area, and safety standards. Learning how to perform daily vehicle inspections in adherence to all appropriate guidelines and regulatory requirements is also a part of the role. The trainee will maintain personal company service literature and a high awareness of technical changes in the industry. The position requires an understanding of the flexibility of schedule to regularly work nights and weekends as required. Other duties as assigned will also be performed.
