About The Position

Paramount Field Services is seeking an experienced Contract Field Landman to support title research, due diligence, and leasing work in Monroe County, Ohio. The work involves complex mineral ownership histories, severed estates, and active development in the Utica/Point Pleasant and Marcellus plays. The successful candidate will work primarily at the Monroe County Courthouse in Woodsfield and in the field, producing accurate, well-documented work product that meets Paramount and client standards. The engagement is on an independent contractor (1099) basis. The contractor must provide a completed W-9 and proof of general liability and auto insurance at the limits required by Paramount, and sign Paramount’s independent contractor and confidentiality agreements before starting work. Successful completion of a background check is required, with a drug screen if required by the client. Contract landmen gather, organize, and report title information. Title opinions and legal determinations, including conclusions on dormant mineral abandonment, are made by licensed attorneys. Contractors are expected to flag such issues for attorney or senior landman review rather than resolve them independently. To apply, submit a resume, a summary of relevant county and basin experience, current day rate, and availability. Reference “Contract Field Landman, Monroe County, OH” in the subject line. Paramount Field Services is an equal opportunity company.
