Hybrid Field Interviewer
About The Position
This is an Independent Contractor Field Interviewer opportunity where you will conduct confidential surveys with individuals receiving state-supported services to ensure their experiences and perspectives are accurately captured. Vital Research, in partnership with the State of Arizona, is seeking independent contractors for a statewide project focused on understanding the quality of life and satisfaction of individuals receiving state-supported services. The information collected will help inform and improve service delivery in areas including: Access to essential services, Communication with providers and case managers, Choice and quality of services, Medical transportation, Personal safety, and Community inclusion and empowerment. The project is the National Core Indicators – Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (NCI-IDD).
Requirements
- Experience conducting interviews, surveys, or research
- Experience supporting aging, disabled, or other underserved populations through social services, community outreach, or related work
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with others
- Comfortable conducting interviews by video and in person
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and digital tools
- Ability to work well independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle for in-person interviews
Responsibilities
- Contacting participants from a provided list to schedule and complete surveys
- Completing an average of 1 survey per day or 5 surveys per week
- Conducting surveys using company-provided technology and established protocols
- Accurately recording participant responses while maintaining confidentiality
- Communicating professionally and respectfully with participants
- Demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity during participant interactions
- Communicating with the research team regarding project-related questions or updates
- Using the provided translation service when needed
- Managing their own schedule and completing assignments within established project expectations
