Field Interviewers travel to selected locations to recruit study participants, make in-person contact with selected respondents, discuss the study, answer questions, and obtain participation. The role includes approaching selected households without prior appointments and following a schedule set by the Field Supervisor for respondent contact times. Interviewers administer standardized computer-assisted interviews, collect confidential information, and transmit data as scheduled. The position also involves independently managing administrative duties, including conference calls, online training, Time & Expense reports, project equipment updates, and other required tasks. Interviewers safeguard and track participant incentives, project-issued equipment, and materials, and assume responsibility for their proper use and care. They attend virtual project meetings and weekly meetings with the Field Supervisor, participate in field observations by client or RTI staff, and may travel overnight. The work can involve variable schedules, working and driving after dark, and a range of weather conditions.
