Field Interviewers on the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) are responsible for traveling frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants. This involves locating selected dwelling units, identifying eligible adult household members, administering a screening interview, and recruiting respondents for a longer main interview if selected. The role requires making in-person contact with selected respondents to discuss the study, answer questions, and obtain participation. Interviewers will collect confidential information and administer standardized questionnaires. They will also manage administrative duties independently, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings, and transmit data as scheduled. This position involves standing, walking, climbing stairs, and transporting equipment and materials such as laptop computers and notebooks weighing 15 pounds or more.
