The Field Installation Supervisor is responsible for managing teams and subcontractors involved in the installation, programming, termination, and commissioning of access control and video products and systems. This role involves performing the same duties as the technicians supervised, while also guiding, assisting, and reviewing their work. As a customer-facing position, the Field Installation Supervisor must be a personable, knowledgeable self-starter capable of making sound decisions in the best interest of the customer and Unlimited Technology. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales and operations departments. This position reports directly to the assigned Project Manager.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Mastery of all Level III Install Technician responsibilities.
Minimum 5 years of field installation experience in the security environment.
Certifications in Software House, AMAG, Genetec, and Lenel are high priority.
Certifications in IP cameras and systems, such as Axis, Sony, Hanwha, Avigilon, Verkada, America Dynamics, Milestone and Exacq are high priority.
Experienced in the installation of door hardware such as strikes and magnetic locks.
Experienced in reading and comprehending engineered drawings.
Experienced in marking up, or “red lining” of drawings post install.
Proficient in the use of a computer, with MS Word, MS Project, and MS Excel skill sets.
Proficient using BlueBeam software is a high priority.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with other UT employees as well as UT customers.
Strong work ethic and teamwork; “can do” attitude and desire to provide best service.
Strong interpersonal and communicative Skills.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and quick learner.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel 50% within the US.

Nice To Haves

Certifications in Cisco or other networking training for establishing open/closed LANs is a plus.
Certifications in MS Server and deployment of Dell servers is a plus.

Responsibilities

Ensure all UT and site-specific safety programs are followed.
Supervise and manage direct reports.
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate the ability to supervise and mentor others.
Possess programming skills associated with the UT product line.
Be willing to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.
Identify and resolve issues that negatively impact job productivity.
Act as the projects “eyes and ears” for the management team.
Maintain a safe, clean working environment at all times.
Communicate all activity to the Project Manager or Program Manager in a timely manner.
Assist the Install team.
Attend required product or safety training.
Complete performance reviews of team members.
Assist Program and Project Managers with weekly and monthly team supervisory duties (e.g., approval of timesheets, expenses, credit card reconciliation, PTO requests).
Identify and assess the strengths, abilities, and weaknesses of the team.
Maintain accurate inventory and protection of materials onsite or in a storage/warehouse facility.
