About The Position

As a Field Installation Merchandiser Floater, you will collaborate with local store teams and fellow team members on new store installations, resets/remodels, and seasonal installations. You will also support and work independently, showcasing your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. There will be occasions when you will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory. On occasion, you may have the opportunity to work with other products from other companies in the stores that Hallmark services. In this role, you will be provided with a schedule in advance for the accounts you will service. The job includes removing product, dismantling and building/assembling fixtures, and placing products on display. This could range from a small reset on a 4ft display to an entire department. Typically, an on-site Installation Supervisor will assign tasks to each Hallmarker on the team.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
  • Must live within the specified geographical area (Rowley, MA to Rockport, MA to Downtown Boston, MA to Methuen, MA) and be available to travel within the area.
  • Physically demanding job requiring high energy and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms.
  • Ability to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday.
  • May be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
  • Must show how qualifications are met in a resume or document, or by completing application fields.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service work in Hallmark departments of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers).
  • Engage in Installation day activities: removing product and trash, dismantling fixtures, building fixtures, and displaying products.
  • Utilize a mobile device to communicate with supervisor, provide feedback, answer surveys, and monitor inventory.
  • Support seasonal demand, including additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays.
  • Potentially work on actual holidays (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day) and weekends.
  • Support other team members in their territories as needed.
  • Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory.
  • Work with other products from other companies in stores serviced by Hallmark.
