About The Position

At Direct Communications, we do not just provide internet; we connect rural communities to the world. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Mainer to join our team. This is not a desk job. If you love working with your hands, take pride in keeping your neighbors connected, and do not mind getting your boots dirty in Maine’s rugged weather, we want to talk to you. The Field Installation and Repair Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting both high-speed fiber optic networks and traditional copper-based telecommunication systems. This role supports residential and commercial customers by ensuring the seamless delivery of high-speed internet, and traditional landline voice services. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical troubleshooting skills, safely operates a variety of hand and power tools, and delivers exceptional customer service directly in the field.
