About The Position

The Field Install Technician performs routine maintenance on high purity water treatment systems at customer facilities. This includes changing filters, water testing, tank exchanges, and servicing RO membranes and UV lamps/sleeves. The role also involves removing and loading media into backwashing vessels, rebuilding control heads, and diagnosing and repairing water treatment equipment. A key aspect of the position is maintaining effective, trusted working relationships with customers and using safe work practices both in transit and at customer sites. The technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating all collected data, and preparing service reports for customers and superiors. Participation in an "on-call" rotation is also required.

Requirements

  • At minimum, high school diploma or equivalent required, with 4 to 6 years industry-relevant experience
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Problem-solving
  • Ability to manage and maintain confidential and proprietary information
  • Good organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized and energetic
  • Ability to understand instrumentation and controls
  • Plumbing/Electrical experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift without physical restrictions
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine maintenance on high purity water treatment systems at customer facilities (i.e. Changing filters, water testing, tank exchanges, ro membranes, uv lamps/sleeves)
  • Remove and load media into backwashing vessels along with rebuilding control heads
  • Diagnose and repair water treatment equipment
  • Maintains effective, trusted working relationship with customers
  • Uses safe work practices driving to and from the shop, and at customer sites
  • Maintenance of accurate records and communication of all data collected at customer facilities
  • Prepare and submit to customer and superiors, service reports detailing maintenance/equipment performance
  • Participate in "on- call" rotation
