About The Position

Seek Now is seeking capable 1099 independent subcontractors to provide accurate, impartial, and complete home and commercial property inspections. Field Inspectors collect data for clients in the Property Insurance, Facility Management, and Real Estate sectors. The role involves inspecting properties, documenting findings with Seek Now’s proprietary smartphone application, and submitting complete, quality reports on time.

Inspectors should be prepared to cover a 100-mile radius around their home market, take assignments on short notice, and travel for catastrophe-related inspections when needed. Catastrophe assignments may average two to six weeks at a time; Seek Now provides lodging, which may involve sharing a room with another subcontractor. The company operates seven days a week, offering flexibility in availability.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to access and inspect steep and/or high roofs.
• Ability to lift, carry, and set up ladders and other equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with a focus on professionalism and customer service.
• Ability to cover a 100-mile radius around the home market.
• Flexible availability for job assignments; ability to take assignments on short notice.
• Ability to travel, especially during catastrophic events such as hurricanes and tornadoes.
• Ability to use a laptop and smartphone, including navigating between applications, entering data, and using Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to earn HAAG Certification within 90 days.
• A clean and reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of safely transporting a 32-foot ladder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, impartial, and complete home and commercial property inspections, including identifying property age and condition.
• Access and inspect steep and/or high roofs.
• Lift, carry, and set up ladders and other equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Sketch and measure roof and/or room components.
• Scope roofs, rooms, and other inspection areas of different sizes and shapes.
• Travel to areas affected by weather catastrophes when needed, including assignments averaging two to six weeks.
• Take assignments on short notice and complete all aspects of assignments as defined.
• Document inspections using Seek Now’s proprietary software application on a smartphone.
• Submit complete, quality reports on time.
