The Field Inspector performs field inspections of cable/fiber placement, cable/fiber splicing, and telecommunications construction work on customer job sites. Requirements

Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
Must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to stand, walk, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time
Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check / drug screen / MVR / physical

Responsibilities

Travel (daily) to assigned locations and conduct site inspections.
Inspect telecommunication cables and the work of field personnel and/or contractors/sub-contractors.
Documentation and reporting of field results.
Attend field meetings with field personnel as well as government agencies and construction contractors.
Operate and maintain field equipment and tools such as laptop, iPad, height stick, camera, personal protective equipment (PPE), etc.
May perform invoicing and manage work orders for subcontractor work.
Other duties as assigned.
