About The Position

For over 100 years, Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Field Industrial Maintenance/Repair Crew Member will be proficient in organizing, running equipment, and housekeeping on the ground. This person will assist the foreman and crew members in rigging, running blast pots, and paint pumps. This person shall be trained in the proper use of all safety equipment for all different job tasks. This person will be responsible for safety, quality, and production standards and goals.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
• 3+ years of experience welding, fabrication and erection of water tanks preferred
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for one's own actions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form
• Dependable and trustworthy

Responsibilities

• 100% tie-off when working on a water tower.
• Assist in unloading equipment/rigging from maintenance rig.
• Operate/understand all rigging procedures.
• Document and inspect personal safety equipment daily.
• Document and inspect rigging equipment daily.
• Responsible for completing own time card.
• Assist in cleanup of job site daily and at the end of the project.
• Occasional SMAW or FCAW welding
• Use cutting and grinding equipment
• Communicate with foreman on tasks to be done and game plan for the day.
