About The Position

Sub-Zero, now operating under Rocket Cooling, is a trusted HVAC company in the Florida Keys serving residential, commercial, and hospitality clients. With a growing pipeline of construction and commercial projects, including multi-family developments and large-scale commercial and hospitality jobs, the company is seeking a Field HVAC Project Manager to lead their commercial and construction work. This role is for someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and executes at a high level in a supportive, well-equipped, and trusted team environment, free from corporate red tape.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HVAC experience with a strong background in construction or commercial projects
  • Proven ability to manage multiple jobs and crews at the same time
  • Strong understanding of HVAC system design, layout, and installation practices
  • Ability to read blueprints and coordinate projects from rough-in through startup
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management
  • Problem-solver who takes ownership and drives results
  • Must be located in Key West, FL or committed to relocating
  • Relocation candidates must have a clear and realistic plan to move
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • EPA Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple HVAC construction and commercial projects in the field simultaneously
  • Manage install crews and ensure jobs are progressing on schedule
  • Maintain quality control across all active projects
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower to keep jobs moving
  • Work closely with the office, warehouse, and leadership team
  • Read and interpret plans, layouts, and project specifications
  • Ensure all installs meet code, manufacturer specs, and company standards
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and keep projects on track
  • Communicate with builders, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Track progress and provide updates on timelines and job status
