About The Position
National Grid is seeking to hire 2 Temporary Field Helpers at our Central locations (N Syracuse and Hinsdale), at the starting hourly pay rate of $27.05. We are a major electricity and gas delivery company with one of the largest electricity transmission and distribution systems in the Northeast. Temporary Field Helpers will be expected to assist various crew operations in the field. Routine duties would include flagging at construction sites.
Requirements
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Line School Certificate is required
- Must pass pre-employment validated company test(s).
- Should have aptitude for electrical and mechanical work.
- Must be able to work in the outdoors and inclement weather.
- Must be able to walk over uneven terrain.
- Must have a valid drivers license with a safe driving history that meets National Grids Safe Driver Policy
- Valid CDL A is required
Nice To Haves
- AAS in Electrical Construction; equivalent electrical apprenticeship is preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform assorted manual labor tasks associated with the construction sites and other similar activities.
- Ability to use hand tools.
