About The Position

GTA is looking for Field Geologists in our QUAKERTOWN, PA office. Responsibilities include construction monitoring and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for a new graduate with interests in geology looking to start their career with a stable, growing company. Ample opportunities for training, certifications and career advancement. You must own a vehicle, have a good driving record, like working with people, and enjoy working outdoors. Experience is preferred, but we will accept entry level candidates and provide training!

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• B.S. in Geology, but not required
• Certificates such as NICET, ACI, WACEL, PDOT a plus
• Own a Reliable Vehicle and have a Good Driving Record
• Enjoy working outdoors
• Ability to work alone as well as in a group
• Standing for extended durations
• Repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering
• Ability to use hands to handle, finger or feel
• Ability to reach, climb or balance
• Ability to crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit
• Ability to see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus
• Regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds
• Occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples)
