About The Position
The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a Field Agricultural Enumerator for New Jersey. This role involves conducting interviews to collect data from farmers and agricultural businesses through both phone calls and on-site farm visits. It is a home-based position with flexible hours, requiring farm and field visits.
Requirements
- Must live in New Jersey.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a working car.
- Must be available for personal field interviews, survey phone calls, and drive-by observations of farms.
- Must be personable with good people, listening, and phone skills.
- Must be organized, able to work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Must have basic computer, iPad, and email skills.
- Must be flexible to learn new technologies.
- Background screening required.
Nice To Haves
- Agricultural knowledge/experience is helpful, but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews to collect data from farmers and agricultural businesses.
- Perform interviews over the phone and by visiting farms in the field.
- Make personal field interviews, conduct survey phone calls, and perform drive-by observations of farms.
