The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated Field Enumerator to support data collection across local communities. This field enumerator position earns a competitive wage of $18-20/hour, plus mileage with opportunities raises and promotions. NASDA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association that represents the elected and appointed commissioners, secretaries, and directors of the departments of agriculture in all fifty states and four U.S. territories. Since 1972, NASDA has employed enumerators to collect agricultural data on behalf of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). As a Field Enumerator, you play an important role in supporting agricultural producers by collecting accurate, reliable, and confidential data used to inform agricultural programs and decision-making. Many surveys are completed remotely from home. Some surveys require the use of a personal vehicle and valid Driver's License to drive to local agricultural operators to conduct in-person surveys or crop counts (Mileage is reimbursed). This role offers variety, independence, and community engagement.
