Requirements

  • Highly efficient organizational skills in a multi-faceted long-term project environment
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience with engineering, project management, or team leadership
  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering or Construction Management, ABET accredited university
  • Ability to rapidly develop a competent understanding of technical roadway maintenance specifications
  • Ability to lead, direct, and manage field maintenance crews and office staff
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Effective communicator at all professional levels
  • Ability to manage project field emergencies 24/7
  • Ability to analyze field accomplishment data and prepare reports, statements and projections
  • Working knowledge of short- and long-term contract budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and revenue analysis
  • Must be able to utilize MS suite and technology/applications to mark and map out repair areas
  • Must have valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma and College Engineering ABET-accredited Degree
  • Knowledge of administrative activities
  • Knowledge of phone and messaging systems
  • Competency of Microsoft Office software
  • Solid organizational planning
  • Proper phone etiquette and protocol
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Skill in establishing priorities and managing work loads
  • Ability to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in the order to meet changing job conditions
  • Neat and legible handwriting skills
  • Perform basic math skills including calculations using fractions, percent, and/or ratios
  • Read and understand manuals, plans, specifications
  • Ability to write documents following prescribed formats

  • Ability to travel within State (up to 25 %) and occasionally outside State

Responsibilities

  • Lead contract operations on roadway maintenance, repair, and construction operations
  • Manage project office and field operations
  • Coordinate financial planning and project budget projections that will assist senior managers
  • Track/report maintenance contract performance relative to plan, contract, and company targets
  • Work with Regional/Project Managers to develop short-term and long-term project maintenance repair plans
  • Perform analysis to improve field prosecution, crew efficiency and maximize operational safety
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for presentation to Client and Corporate operations centers
