About The Position

We are looking Field Engineer to join our team. If you are an experienced and qualified Field Engineer, seize this opportunity to work on projects that matter to you and to the communities in which we work. This position is based out of St John.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting heavy civil, industrial, mining, infrastructure, or major construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of earthworks, excavation, grading, concrete, and reinforcing steel construction activities.
  • Experience with quantity tracking, production monitoring, progress measurement, and reporting.
  • Experience assisting with work planning, construction methodologies, and development of field work procedures.
  • Familiarity with material management processes including receiving, inventory control, and material reconciliation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction management software.
  • Willingness to work rotational schedules in remote camp and fly-in/fly-out environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting self-performing construction operations is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of work plans, work packages, and construction procedures for field operations.
  • Support supervisors and superintendents in planning and coordinating daily construction activities.
  • Track quantities, productivity, and progress for earthworks, concrete, reinforcing steel, and other related civil works.
  • Prepare daily reports, weekly progress updates, and production summaries.
  • Assist with material receiving, inspection, inventory management, and material tracking.
  • Verify work completed against project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Support procurement and logistics activities by identifying material requirements and monitoring deliveries.
  • Participate in look-ahead planning and schedule updates to ensure crews have the resources required to execute work.
  • Assist with quality documentation, turnover packages, and project closeout requirements.
  • Identify and communicate field issues, risks, and constraints to project management and site supervision.
