At Hodge Western Corp, we believe the best project managers and superintendents are made in the field — not in a classroom or a conference room. That's why we're looking for driven, early-career professionals who want to get their hands dirty, learn the craft of complex underground utility construction, and grow into leaders who run projects and crews at scale. This isn't a desk job. It's a launch pad. Hodge Western Corp has spent 20 years pushing the boundaries of specialty underground utility construction. We operate across three divisions — Renewables, Rock Trenching, and Directional Drilling — and build some of the most technically demanding utility infrastructure across the United States. Our technology-driven approach to construction gives our clients real advantages in safety and efficiency, and it gives our people real advantages in career development. As a Field Engineer, you'll be embedded in active project sites alongside experienced Superintendents and Project Managers, building the technical and operational foundation you'll need to eventually lead projects or crews on your own. You'll own quality control, GPS layout, as-built documentation, and field coordination — the core skills that separate great builders from average ones. This role is intentionally designed as a development position. High performers will be given increasing responsibility and a clear choice: grow toward Project Management (cost control, client relationships, project execution) or Field Supervision (crew leadership, production, and boots-on-the-ground operations).
