About The Position

This position is for a Field Engineer who will assist with various aspects of project management and execution in the electrical utility construction field. The role involves supporting submittals, field work, documentation, procurement, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or student pursuing a degree in a related field, with a strong motivation to learn and contribute in both office and field settings.

Requirements

Pursuing a degree or recent graduate in related field.
Experience within electrical utility construction - preferably transmission line or substation
Must be flexible in working in both office and field environment as needed.
Must have strong organization skills
Must be highly motivated.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with a team

Responsibilities

Assist in submittals, field work packages, compiling as-built data, verifying quantities, field safety and quality inspections.
Perform procurement quantity takeoffs.
Daily reports in construction management software.
Assist with compilation of necessary information for all submittals and coordinate with Document Control to ensure proper documentation.
Assist with coordination of material deliveries.
Assist with field verifications, inspections, and measurements.
Work closely with document control and field personnel to ensure they have latest drawings and installation documents.
Assist with cost coding.
Review and understand the redline/as-built process.
Attend necessary briefings and safety meetings as required.
Attain necessary job specific training.
