Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI. As a Field Engineer at Tutor Perini Corp., reporting to the Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget. You will collect, coordinate and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance. You will provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling, identifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule. You will evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance and document daily activities in Company approved methods and technologies. You will perform additional assignments per management’s direction. You will remit accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported and manage cost coding with Company finance and accounting teams regarding employee time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs. You will review and approve daily timecards for all Company construction crews and work with the Office Manager, payroll and job construction supervisors to resolve timecard inquiries, as needed. You will review project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes, and initiate and manage appropriate certificates, inspections and other documentation regarding construction production on the project site. You will work with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout on the project site, ensuring appropriate utility and commercial lines are marked before production begins, and initiate and manage any permits needed before work can begin. You will conduct the required Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliance work environment for all construction personnel and attend weekly safety meetings with field team and project leadership, presenting field analysis as needed. You will assist the estimating team with project schedules and provide technical input as needed, and assist the development of design drawings and provide technical input, as needed. You will coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed and reconcile the job close-out checklist with the owner representative and field crews at the end of the project. You will maintain knowledge of Company values and strategic plan.
