SAIC is seeking Field Service Engineers (FSE) to support the Medusa Sustainment project, which is a U.S. Air Force solution for defense against small unmanned aerial systems (s-UAS). The Medusa System of Systems is the U.S. Air Force's solution for defense against small unmanned aerial systems (s-UAS) utilizing a government-owned Medusa Command and Control (Medusa C2), which allows for a plug-and-play selection of Passive and Active Sensors, Electronic and Kinetic Weapon Systems, as well as the insertion of a variety of Fusion, Association, Threat and Combat ID Algorithms. The Medusa C2 supports fixed base, portable, mounted and handheld operations. The Medusa Team supports the United States Air Force C-sUAS programs worldwide. Key Responsibilities: Provide field engineering and technical support services to maintain and sustain fielded C-sUAS systems, equipment, and software at designated locations. Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot program-of-record software applications, integrated radios, and hardware components. Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair to the Line-Replaceable Unit (LRU) level before escalating to higher-level maintenance. Prepare systems for operation, including system software loading, operator training, and conducting operational checks. Assist with packaging and Return Material Authorization processes for non-mission capable systems or equipment to higher-level maintenance facilities (e.g., SAIC AF C-sUAS Regional Support Center in Huntsville, Alabama). Provide on-site and telephonic technical support for Airmen regarding system operations and maintenance. Conduct training as needed to improve system performance and empower users. Support the program Field Service Support Desk as required. Conduct scheduled equipment inventories to ensure accountability and readiness. Install software maintenance updates and/or hardware upgrades to maintain system performance. Facilitate weekly site status meetings with Field Service Engineers (FSEs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and customers to report on system performance and provide updates. Analyze complex systems to identify faults, system failures, maintenance procedures, and part replacements at the LRU level. Assist senior-level technical specialists with deployments as needed. Execute corrective maintenance actions to compress response times and meet key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct parts replacements, system upgrades, and deployments using diagnostic tools and technical expertise. Adhere to contract KPIs Perform fault determination and fault isolation at the LRU level, executing Removal and Replacement (R&R) of failed components both onsite and at depot locations. Monitor and analyze trends to improve system support and accessibility. Successfully complete required certifications and training, including Medusa C-sUAS Administrator and Maintainer courses (minimum passing score of 70) and OEM training courses. Assist in optimizing program-of-record software and hardware components for peak functionality. Provide independent decision-making and expert recommendations to improve system performance during complex deployment
