Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • EIT Certification/license
  • 3-5 years experience working for a General Contractor.
  • Earthworks and site development experience is required.
  • Knowledge of construction project management
  • Technical knowledge – Means and Method in different type of Heavy Civil construction.
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including MS Project
  • Primavera P6
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Bluebeam and HECRAS
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Safety Training

Responsibilities

  • Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources.
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
  • Review all shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data.
  • Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
  • Identify risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
  • Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance.
  • Update project schedule monthly for owner and management reporting.
  • Prepare and manage a three-week work plan.
  • Notify engineering and project management of any significant schedule changes and develops solutions to mitigate delays and cost.
  • Initiate and manage all Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Remit accurate project quantities using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported.
  • Manage invoicing with accounting team regarding materials, equipment and subcontractor needs.
  • Review certificates and permits needed to perform work.
  • Review required Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliance work environment for all construction personnel.
