About The Position

Field Engineer opportunity with Traylor Bros., Inc! Initial assignment could include Traylor’s offices located in Long Beach, CA or Alexandria, VA, prior to reassignment to one of our active projects. This could be up to 6 months or longer. Position Summary: Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction of structures and underground systems.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
Plan and design structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.
Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to managerial personnel.
Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management.
Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.
