Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited engineering program and be registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT). Eligibility to obtain a P.Eng. license or holding a P.Eng. designation is required.
  • Willingness and desire to work in various weather conditions, spending long days in remote areas.
  • Good oral, written, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take initiative, be adaptable, and work in a team environment.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • NACE CP2 certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • In projects throughout Canada and the USA, complete cathodic protection surveys on pipelines and other infrastructure.
  • Learn to collect, interpret, and understand key data as it relates to cathodic protection, DC interference, and voltage gradients, such as analyzing waveform oscilloscope measurements, measuring soil resistivities, gathering pipe-to-soil potential and rectifier data, and conducting continuity testing.
  • Locate pipelines and describe physical onsite characteristics for subsequent analysis.
  • Ensure that all required technical reporting is submitted to the Team Leads/Project Engineers.
  • Complete tasks related to field testing and installation of various Cathodic Protection and AC mitigation projects.
  • Play a key role in ensuring our field services are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
  • Take ownership of accurate reporting, timesheet and expense submissions, and inventory tracking—all while maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety protocols.
  • Support monthly safety meetings and compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with technical staff and foster a positive, respectful team environment.
