As a Field Engineer Intern, you will support the field team in managing construction activities, document control, and quality assurance. This internship offers hands-on experience in the field, working closely with Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents to learn the day-to-day operations of a construction site.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and Bluebeam
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and contribute
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking field activities and subcontractor progress
  • Participate in inspection walks and site coordination
  • Support communication of schedule updates and neighborhood relations
  • Learn to interpret project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Participate in weekly safety walks and document observations
  • Support monitoring of SWPPP conditions throughout the project
  • Learn and follow CORE Builders’ safety protocols and OSHA standards
  • Assist with creating and maintaining submittal and RFI logs
  • Help track submittmits and RFIs using Procore
  • Support meeting documentation including agendas and minutes
  • Provide field updates and take daily progress photos
  • Assist with distributing follow-up correspondence and documentation
  • Participate in construction meetings such as Foreman, Preconstruction, and Mock-Up
  • Help create PDF exhibits for coordination
  • Upload and manage documents in Procore
  • Redline plans with RFIs, ASIs, and OSIs
  • Demonstrate punctuality and a collaborative spirit
  • Learn construction safety practices (e.g., OSHA 30)
  • Develop written and verbal communication skills
