About The Position

Acuative seeks contract (1099) Field Service Technicians to provide installation and maintenance services for telecommunications and network-based equipment. The work includes voice (analog and VOIP), data networks, servers, routers and switches, computer systems, retail technology systems, and related hardware. Jobs may require a four-hour response time and generally take two to four hours onsite. The successful candidate will spend most of their time covering an area within 50 miles of Phoenix.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of networking hardware and topologies.
• Familiarity with networking products and interfacing.
• Understanding of telephony systems, including VOIP, PBX, and key systems, with the ability to provide hands-on hardware and troubleshooting support.
• Knowledge of computing systems hardware and the ability to provide break/fix support for desktop PCs and/or servers.
• Ability to physically install a variety of hardware, including routers, switches, WAPs, servers, POS systems, digital signage systems, LEO satellites such as Starlink, fixed wireless access antennas, and associated peripheral equipment.
• Ability to configure a variety of technology platforms using console and remote applications.
• Experience with LEC circuit identification and extensions.
• Familiarity with cabling standards and ability to pull and terminate cabling in a variety of customer environments, including 66 blocks and FDP.
• Ability to operate basic power tools, including drills and saws.
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts when required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to follow detailed job documents.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain networking hardware, including routers, switches, and WAPs.
• Install and maintain telephony equipment and circuits.
• Install and support retail technology systems, including POS, digital signage, and video surveillance systems.
• Perform circuit extensions and structured cabling.
• Conduct site surveys and site audits.
• Submit all job-related documents and deliverables accurately and on time.
• Install LEO satellite receivers, cables, and hardware.
• Install fixed wireless antennas, cables, and hardware.
