About The Position

The Field Engineer provides technical engineering support to project supervisors and craft workforce to ensure all construction complies with all appropriate standards, codes and specifications. The Field Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have good communication and client service skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • 2 Year Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis
  • 3 years of industry experience
  • Must have Total Station experience

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment through own actions and mentoring others
  • Supports/assists in implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies
  • Participate in performing survey layout for construction control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials
  • Maintain record documents
  • Material takeoffs for self-perform work
  • Research of drawing interpretations, problems, and errors
  • Verification that all completed work complies with drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of the contract specifications and documents
  • Verify all survey monuments and markers
  • Assist in subcontractor coordination
  • Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.
