About The Position
Field AI is seeking a Field Data Analyst to support data validation, analysis, and reporting for deployed robotic systems. This role is part of the Service organization and collaborates with field operations, engineering, and customer teams to ensure operational data from deployed robots is accurate, interpretable, and actionable. The analyst will be involved in Data Delivery QA and Field Performance Audits, validating mission datasets, investigating operational trends, and generating structured reports for internal teams and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work with messy operational datasets
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar data analysis tools
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with robotics, autonomy systems, IoT, or sensor data
- Familiarity with time-series data, logs, or telemetry
- Experience with data pipelines or ETL workflows
- Experience generating reports for external stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Validate mission datasets generated by deployed robots.
- Perform completeness, schema, and integrity checks on field data.
- Identify corrupted, incomplete, or anomalous datasets.
- Support QA processes before datasets are used for analysis or reporting.
- Analyze operational logs and mission data to identify trends or anomalies.
- Investigate system behavior using telemetry and mission outputs.
- Support root-cause analysis by extracting insights from field datasets.
- Generate clear performance reports and summaries for customers.
- Translate technical data into understandable insights.
- Support periodic reporting on autonomy performance and system behavior.
- Work with Fleet Operations, Rapid Support, and Solution Delivery to investigate field issues.
- Assist in identifying recurring operational problems from data.
- Provide validated datasets to engineering teams for debugging.
- Improve internal data validation workflows.
- Support development of automated checks and dashboards.
- Maintain documentation of datasets, reporting templates, and QA procedures.
