Field Crew - Finish Carpenter

Riley ProjectsLos Angeles, CA
$25 - $34Onsite

About The Position

This role is for a Finish Carpenter on a construction crew, specifically focusing on the interior closeout phase of residential projects. The Finish Carpenter will be the last person to work on the interior, ensuring the house is finished to a high standard of craft and detail. This involves taking the lead during the interior closeout, owning finish carpentry, millwork, doors, trim, built-ins, and cabinetry installation. The role also requires real experience in tile and stone work, including wet areas, floor fields, and feature walls, with an understanding of layout, substrate prep, and setting. The Finish Carpenter will collaborate closely with the designer and Foreman, proactively identifying and solving issues when conditions don't match the drawings. Before their lead phase, they will support other crew members, gaining context about the build that informs their own work. Success is measured by the quality of finish work, the precision of tile installation, the readiness of the site for closeout, and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers and the team.
