About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Construction Manager to join our team for a large-scale fiber to the home deployment project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations, develops project plans, and monitors performance. Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
• Experience in aerial fiber construction is required
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
• Effective Communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Military experience equivalent to 12N Horizontal Construction Engineer and/or 12H Construction Engineering Supervisor
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations
• Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Work with reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
• Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
