About The Position

Join RoyalX, a division of DominionX, as a Full-Time Field Construction Manager and lead construction projects in Northern Virginia and District Heights, MD. This role is responsible for ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications, budgetary constraints, and regulatory requirements. The Manager of Field Construction manages a team of construction supervisors, subcontractors, and field personnel, while liaising with developers, engineers, architects, and community stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects within the master planned community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of roofing systems and exterior construction
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, practices, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Experience supervising multi-family and/or commercial construction projects
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain high standards of quality and safety
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with project management software and construction documentation
  • Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of field construction activities within the master planned community, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial objectives and profitability targets.
  • Lead and supervise a team of construction supervisors, subcontractors, and field personnel, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, coordinate project timelines, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of milestones and overall project goals.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction activities meet design specifications, regulatory standards, and community guidelines.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for developers, engineers, architects, and community stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on construction sites, fostering a culture of safety among all team members.
  • Identify challenges and issues during construction, develop effective solutions, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, prepare regular progress reports, and conduct comprehensive project reviews to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage community relations related to construction activities, addressing community concerns, and ensuring minimal disruption to residents and stakeholders.
